Description/Purpose:

All undergraduate students must pass a comprehensive examination in their major field of study as a requirement for graduation

Details:

All undergraduate students must pass a comprehensive examination in their major field of study as a requirement for graduation. The purpose of the examination will be to assess the student's command of the material and methodology used in his or her major.

Students who pass their comprehensive examination will be automatically registered for EXAM 401, Comprehensive Exam, or EXAM 402, Comprehensive Exam With Distinction, and a grade of "P" will be recorded. The non-credit requirement will not affect the student's cumulative qrade point average, and there will be no additional fees charged to the student.
