POLICY STATEMENT

Required Uses:

The University's Statement of Nondiscrimination and ADA statements are required to be included in ALL University publications including, but not limited to, bulletins, informational brochures, catalogs, applications, recruitment materials, individual course syllabi, university websites, or other publications that are made available to participants, students, applicants, or employees. Exceptions include formal invitations, most printed advertisements, and individual department web pages.

The inclusion of the Statement of Nondiscrimination and the ADA statements is required by federal regulations and is designed to make clear to prospective applicants or participants the University's commitment to equal opportunity in employment and equal access to its programs and activities. Individual departments are to be aware of this requirement and to include the Statement of Nondiscrimination and ADA statements on all publications as described in this policy. They should be used without modification.

It can be set in a smaller typeface (no less than 8-point font is preferred) and is usually positioned on an inside front or back cover or in the first few pages of a publication.
