Description/Purpose:

Acquiring alcohol for use at all University related functions

Procedures:

Procedures

  1. The department requesting the alcohol will complete the “Food Service Alcohol Request Form” (form attached).
  2. The department must then obtain the President’s approval. The approved form can then be forwarded to the food service catering director. 
  3. Food Service will purchase the alcohol and will be responsible for the serving of alcohol during the event. 
  4. Departments will be charged for the actual cost of products used. In addition, a corkage fee will be charged for the service.
  5. All alcohol will remain in the control of food service. Any opened bottles or kegs will be kept by food service and properly disposed. 

Details:

All alcohol for University related functions must be purchased through the Food Service Department. No reimbursements will be made to individuals for the purchase of alcohol for campus related events. The person or department requesting the alcohol must receive the President's approval prior to requesting alcohol be served at a catered event.
