Information on Club Sports and Intramural Sports at SFU

Details:

Saint Francis University provides students opportunities to compete in club-level athletics. Club Sports are excellent opportunities to compete on athletic teams that travel to other colleges and universities to test their skill and passion, without making a commitment to varsity athletics.  The Student Government Association supports SFU Club Sports through financial assistance for items such as league fees, trainer fees, payments for referees, purchasing equipment and uniforms, and wages for coaches.  All teams are open to any full-time undergraduate student and currently include Baseball, Esports, Ice Hockey, Rugby, Soccer, and Ultimate Frisbee. See the Center for Student Engagement to get involved or to learn how to start your own Club Sports organization or email studentlife@francis.edu.

Intramural programs promote both physical and social development by providing opportunities for participation in athletic activities. The program is especially rewarding for those not interested in varsity competition. The intramural program endeavors to help students make wise use of their leisure time, to allow students to engage in activities with other students, and to help students understand and appreciate different sports. Saint Francis intramurals include individual and team sports and co-recreational sports. Intramurals are publicized through campus e-mail and on campus bulletin board. The Maurice Stokes Athletics Center, Immergrun Golf Course, and athletic fields are used for intramural activities.
