Description/Purpose:

Traditional undergraduate and/or graduate students seeking to transfer their matriculation with Saint Francis University to or from matriculation through Francis Worldwide are required to submit an application for approval for this change to occur.

Details:

Current traditional students (undergraduate or graduate) who want to transfer their enrollment with the University to Francis Worldwide for the duration of their degree and its completion must submit a completed application to the Office of the Registrar at least two weeks prior to the start of any traditional semester (Fall, Spring, Summer). The application must be approved by the student's advisor, the Department Chair, the Dean of the traditional school, the Dean of Francis Worldwide, the Business Office, and the Registrar. Once completed by these offices, the form is submitted to the Chief Academic Officer for final approval. 

The criteria for transfer from being a traditional to being a Francis Worldwide student is: 

  • The grade point average for work complete of 2.0; 
  • Is in good financial standing with SFU;
  • Transfer credit evaluation completed by FWW advisor and by the Center for Academic Success (CAS); 
  • Has met with financial aid counselor regarding changes to financial aid package; 
  • Exceptions to the academic criteria may be appealed for review by the Dean of Student and Academic Success.

Once matriculated in Francis Worldwide, the student will complete their program of study through Francis Worldwide. Francis Worldwide rates are applied to tuition only to the next and subsequent semesters of enrollment once the transfer is approved.

The criteria for transfer from Francis Worldwide to matriculation as a traditional student at Saint Francis University is:

  • The grade point average for work complete to enter Saint Francis University must be at least 2.0 or meet the minimum expectations and standards of the respective degree; 
  • Meet the progression standards for the degree for traditional students; 
  • Is in good financial standing with SFU; 
  • Transfer credit evaluation is completed by CAS; 
  • Has met with financial aid counselor regarding changes to financial aid package. 

Once matriculated as a traditional student, it is expected that he/she will complete their program of study as a traditional student. Traditional student tuition rates and applicable fees are applied to the next and subsequent semesters of enrollment once the transfer is approved.
