Details:

As a benefit to our students, Saint Francis University allows students covered by employer reimbursement plans to defer payment, interest free, until the student is reimbursed by their employer. This benefit can be rescinded at the discretion of the Business Office at any time. This benefit applies to tuition and related fees only. Books and supplies must be paid for at the time of purchase by cash, check, or credit card. Payment on these items cannot be deferred under any circumstances.

In order to receive deferred payment, students must supply the Bursar’s Office with a letter from their employer, on the employer’s letterhead, stating that the employer will be paying for the student’s tuition. This letter must be received by the Bursar’s Office by the end of the first week of the semester and must specify the student’s name, social security number, and the semester covered. To ensure that an employer’s policies have not changed and that the student is still employed at that particular employer, a new letter must be obtained from the employer each semester. One letter cannot cover multiple semesters. Interest that has accrued on a student’s account because the student failed to submit their employer’s letter by the end of the first week of the semester will not be removed. Any portion of tuition or fees not covered by the employer is due before the start of the semester.

An invoice will be sent to the student at the end of the semester. It is the student’s responsibility to submit the invoice to their employer. Payment is due within forty five (45) days of the end of the semester. Checks should be made payable to Saint Francis University and include the student’s social security number in order to ensure accurate posting to the student’s account. Checks are to be mailed to Saint Francis University, Business Office, P.O. Box 600, Loretto, PA 15940.

Official transcripts and diplomas will not be released until a student’s account is paid in full. No exceptions will be made to this policy.
